My Story so far..

My Birth
On Monday, the 13th of September at about 1:30am Moms water broke but the Doctor told us to wait a little and go to the Hospital at around 6am, which we did. Mom and Dad woke Oma up who was here at the time. and we all went together. Mom had contractions until about 2pm but it wasnt going anywhere except up on the pain scale. She then went for the epidural and felt the contractions but wasnt in so much pain anymore. At around 4pm the doctor had to perform a c-section to bring another baby into this world and lowered moms contraction meds until she was back around 8pm. She looked at the dilation and promptly proclaimed that we're having a baby NOW. So Mom pushed for 35 minutes and after the doctor cut the cord (which i had gotten around my neck loosly) i was born at 8:35pm on September 13th 2004 at Doylestown Hospital in Doylestown PA. USA. at 6 pounds 4 ounces (2.84 kg) and was 20 inches (50.8 cm) long.
 
Parenting Tests
I was with Mom most of the time and she didnt get much sleep (ie. None!). On Wednesday the doctors decided to stick me into the Special Care Nursery because of my slight jaundice, which most babies are born with. So i got to get a tan even before i was discharged on Thursday. Then on Saturday at 6:30am we lost power in the house, because the remnants of Hurricane Ivan flooded the Delaware River and knocked out several poles on the riverfront street, as well as raining so hard that we had about 1 inch of water in the basement. But we had wonderful support from my family (bringing food and ice and TLC) and neighbors bringing poolwater to flush the toilets with. Mom and Dad went with the flow so to speak and changed diapers in the candlelight and built a fire in the fireplace to keep us warm. We finally got power back on on Monday at 2:24pm. Pheeeww... Since then, Mom and Dad found a good schedule for us and a system that works well for me to sleep. Mom still needs to catch up on her sleep and rest up, but we are having a blast hanging out together.

So, by now i turned 1 (Eins, Uno, 1) and can crawl, stand by myself and walk a couple of steps. Things are moving now..
